Situated next to Ockham and Wisley Common and the Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area (SPA), the 1730-home development by Taylor Wimpey integrates high-quality new housing with a strong commitment to biodiversity, stewardship, and sustainable community living.  The Wisley development is designed to turn a former arable and concrete runway site into a vibrant, biodiverse landscape, carefully balancing new development with environmental resilience and quality of life.  Key features include:  Over 10 km of walking routes, nature trails and ecological corridors  A visitor centre, café, play areas, and dog training zones  New habitats including species-rich grasslands, ponds, woodlands, and swales  Active engagement with local schools and universities through volunteering and conservation education  A new primary school, community centre, allotments and sports facilities  A bespoke Stewardship Trust will own and manage all public open spaces and community infrastructure, including the Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG), in perpetuity — ensuring consistency, care and a lasting legacy.  Our Role  Community Stewardship Solutions (CSS) has been instrumental in developing and implementing the Stewardship and Placemaking Strategy for the entire site — including the delivery of a 42.5-hectare Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG), alongside community facilities and long-term ecological protections.  CSS was appointed to:  Develop the Stewardship and Placemaking Strategy in collaboration with the design team  Establish a Stewardship Community Trust and draft its governance framework, including Articles of Association and a shadow board  Develop a comprehensive Business Plan  Define service charge schedules and implement a community development strategy  Oversee the first years of Trust delivery and asset transfer planning  The Trust will manage all public and community assets and help deliver a liveable, sustainable neighbourhood shaped by and for its residents.  Project Gallery  Picture4 WhatsApp Image 2024-11-20 at 14.42.20_d5079992 WhatsApp Image 2024-11-20 at 14.44.38_61b52cef WhatsApp Image 2024-11-20 at 14.44.38_a90a7a8c WhatsApp Image 2024-11-20 at 14.44.40_a87c0a9b WhatsApp Image 2024-11-20 at 14.44.40_c310f0d1

Located in North Kent, just 17 minutes from central London via High Speed 1 at Ebbsfleet International Station, the Garden City will deliver up to 15,000 new homes alongside schools, commercial centres, health facilities and a wide range of community amenities.  The vision for Ebbsfleet Garden City is to create a vibrant, mixed-use community that combines the best of traditional garden city design principles — generous green spaces, walkable neighbourhoods, and local facilities — with modern sustainability standards.  Backed by the UK Government and led by the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation (EDC), the development aims to generate significant employment opportunities, high-quality housing, integrated transport, and extensive parks and natural landscapes. When complete, Ebbsfleet Garden City will feature:  15,000 homes across a series of distinct neighbourhoods  Over 50 new parks and open spaces, including lakes, country parks, and community gardens  New schools, health centres and community hubs  Improved walking and cycling routes and connections to High Speed 1  Sustainable transport initiatives and modern infrastructure  Our Role Community Stewardship Solutions is playing a key role in shaping the long-term legacy and stewardship strategy for Ebbsfleet Garden City.  Mark and the CSS team are responsible for;  Developing the Legacy and Stewardship Strategy for seven major parks, lakes, allotments, sports grounds, and other community assets  Designing the implementation plan to establish an independent Community Trust and organisational structure  Recruiting, appointing, and supporting the board of trustees  Overseeing the first community assets to be transferred, including allotments, community gardens, a new sports centre and community hall  Supporting long-term community development to ensure residents have a real say in how shared spaces and facilities are managed  The stewardship approach ensures that these green spaces and community facilities will be maintained to a high standard, funded sustainably, and shaped by the people who live there — securing the Garden City’s unique character and public benefit for generations to come.  Project Gallery  Find out more about the Ebbsfleet Garden City Trust
